MOHRE which is also called as Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation introduces new rules and penalties for employers who do not pay their employees at right time. Employers have to be very much careful now because now the penalties are much more than before.
Employers will have to face fines, suspension of employment quotas, and much more. Public Prosecution Cases, Heavy Fines, temporary cancellation of licenses etc can also be penalties. Therefore suggested by MOHRE, that not delay and pay the salaries at right time.
A company with more than 50 employees, will be checked by MOHRE if the salary is late for more than 17 Days, once the due date has been passed. For the small companies, the dates might be different. But keep in mind that once you are getting late and late then penalties will be increased and extended.
WPS should be used to pay the salaries. There is no other medium that is entertained this way. It means people(Employers) are only allowed to pay their salaries through WPS. By Cash, or by other bank accounts, they are not allowed at all. Salaries have to be paid on the first of every month.
MOHRE has issued all the guidelines on their websites, which can be visited and get checked. If still the more and better idea is required the Labour and Employment Lawyers, are the only solution.
